I love nautical looks almost as much as I love leopard. The crispness of the colors blue, red, green, and sometimes yellow together just make me feel all warm inside. If I had it my way I would live in these two looks. Something about looking like a walking boat everyday prevents me from doing such a thing. The weather in Dallas is perfect for an outfit like this. I actually wore this today to do some errands and I felt so "easy breezy."

Very cute! You really know how to put things together! I think all of you fashion bloggers have to do a post on how to go shopping. Do you shop for an outfit or do you buy a wardrobe and then put together things that you have? It's hard for us (me) simple people who are trying to kick it up a notch, when you don't even know how to start.
ReplyDeleteI shop piece by piece. I rarely buy two items from the same place at the same time. Everything I buy is to integrate into the wardrobe I already have. I always tell people to be patient when they shop, stop trying to get all you can get all one time. I think that is when you end up unhappy with your choices.
DeleteMight I suggest the book "Style Yourself"? I've checked it out from the library going on 3 times. Eventually I'm going to order it for myself.
DeleteI admit it is kind of hard to know where to start when you're trying to kick your wardrobe up a lot.
I'm trying to buy more basic pieces, items that can last me season through season and that I can mix and match vs a lot of trendy items that won't be much use to me after a season.
This is so cute. I've been looking for a Kelly Green top for a long time! Rock it girl :o)
DeleteThank you Chastity, I will keep that in mind. When I do have an extra pocket of cash I do tend to want to buy all I can in one day before I decide to use the money for something else. Patience is a virtue.
DeletePensiveFashoinista - Thank you for your tip. I will definitely look into that book!
Love the color combo and i am so in love with the pleated skirts, just haven't found one that fell right on my body :) thanks for the inspiration!
